- Why do you have a shade selection system by colour family for Lipfinity vs skin tone for Colour Collections?
The formulas for Colour Collections and Lipfinity are very different. The Colour Collections formula is more sheer, revealing the underlying skin tone through the colour, so is best grouped by skin tone rather than colour family.
With Lipfinity none of the underlying skin colour can show through the solid colour, so they are grouped by colour family.

- How does the Lipfinity formula work?
The formula contains Permatone, a technology that acts like paint to safely adhere to the lips. Hence you may have heard of the base coat colour being described as 'paint for lips'!

- Why do I need to put the top coat on top of the colour?
The clear top coat is designed for use with the Lipfinity paint for lips. Apply the conditioning top coat as often as you like for moisture and shine. It helps to keep your look fresh when you re-apply throughout the day, as with a lip balm.

- How do I need to apply it to ensure maximum staying power?
The application is the critical step, and this is easy. If you get it right, you'll ensure maximum staying power.
First apply the base coat colour onto dry, freshly cleaned lips. Any residual lipstick or lip balm can affect how the base coat colour adheres to the lips. Let the colour dry by keeping the lips dry and apart for at least 1 minute and ideally for 2 minutes.
Top tip: Apply your mascara while you wait. Then finally apply the top coat for moisture and shine. Now your colour will stay put all day long!

- Are the shades in the new packaging the same as the shades in the old packaging?
The shades remain the same. For example, 110 Passionate is the same in the old pack as in the new pack. The new base coat bottle is clear and the real colour can now be seen. Previously, the bottle was tinted and this made the colour of the product appear darker than it really was. You can check by opening the product: the colour on the brush is the same as the colour you see in the bottle!
